Bakery Manager – Food Store

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Bakery Manager to lead the bakery operations within our food store in Caissie Cape. You will be responsible for overseeing daily production, staff performance, and customer satisfaction in a rural convenience store setting. You will also coordinate with suppliers and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and control daily bakery operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Plan, organize, and evaluate daily activities, including budgeting and revenue monitoring.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to boost sales.
• Manage a team of over 20 staff members, assign duties, and conduct performance reviews.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages promptly.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 3 to less than 5 years of experience in bakery or retail food management.
• Experience supervising a team of more than 20 people.
• Comfortable working in a rural convenience store environment.
• Fluent in English (or French) as required by the posting.
• Available to start on the listed start date.
