Avionics AME‑E Technician

About the role

The Avionics AME‑E Technician leads the installation, setup and testing of navigation, radio and electrical equipment on aircraft, ensuring compliance with Airbus and Transport Canada standards. The role works closely with sheet‑metal and mechanical teams to meet production deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage avionics installations and projects, including wire harness manufacturing from drawings.
• Create wire lists, operate laser wire printers, and build coded wire harnesses to match aircraft configurations.
• Install AHCA‑manufactured harnesses and externally supplied equipment according to manuals and drawings.
• Program, code and configure avionics equipment, perform software downloads and ensure correct revision levels.
• Conduct ground and flight testing, including pitot‑static and transponder tests, and log results.
• Troubleshoot and resolve snags found during or after installation.
• Perform quality‑assurance checks in collaboration with the Quality department.
• Maintain daily time booking in SAP, record work orders, and keep the production bay organized and free of FOD.

Required profile

• Experience installing and testing avionics wire harnesses and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals.
• Familiarity with SAP time‑booking and work‑order documentation.
• Strong attention to detail for quality assurance and snag tracking.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
