Avionics Aircraft Technician

About the role
Join De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Ltd. as an Avionics Aircraft Technician supporting the Twin Otter final‑assembly line. You will work under the Production Manager to install, test, and maintain avionics and wiring systems in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform electrical wiring tasks and system installations on aircraft.
- Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, and manufacturer installation manuals.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair communication, navigation, flight‑control, and entertainment avionics systems.
- Fabricate and repair parts, create wire bundles, label and terminate wires into connectors.
- Conduct system checks and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and ensure traceability of parts.
- Use and maintain avionics test equipment and hand tools.
Required profile
- Current or working towards an AME “E” Transport Canada licence or equivalent experience.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer and internet skills with good oral and written communication.
Required skills
- Standard aircraft wiring practices.
- Avionics system installation and troubleshooting.
- Wire bundling, labeling, and connector termination.
- Use of avionics test equipment and hand tools.
