Automotive Service Technician – Full Time

About the role

The Automotive Service Technician will perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of commercial trucks and passenger vehicles at our Sturgeon Falls service centre. The role involves direct interaction with customers, detailed reporting and adherence to manufacturer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive, truck‑trailer and commercial transport systems.
• Inspect, test and diagnose mechanical units, engines, electrical systems and HVAC components to locate faults.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services, road‑test vehicles and verify repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
• Estimate parts and labour costs, complete work orders and provide customers with clear explanations of performed work and future repair needs.
• Document problems and repairs in detailed reports and maintain accurate service records.

Required profile

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
• 3 to less than 5 years of hands‑on experience in automotive or truck service.
• Automotive Service Technician Trade Certifications (fuel & electrical, steering, suspension & brakes) and WHMIS certification.
• Valid Class 2, B or C driver’s licence.
