Automotive Painter Apprentice

About the role

Viking Motors is seeking an Automotive Painter Apprentice to join our team in Arborg, Manitoba. This hands‑on role supports the preparation and finishing of commercial transport trucks, working closely with experienced painters to deliver high‑quality paintwork.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports.
• Plan and organize repair work to be performed.
• Clean, file, grind and sand body surfaces prior to painting.
• Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using appropriate tools.
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces to factory standards.
• Mix paint, blend and match colors accurately.
• Operate soldering equipment and use plastic filler to repair holes, dents and seams.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.

Required profile

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
