Associate, Settlements

About the role

The Associate, Settlements supports the end‑to‑end settlement process for trades and cash, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Reporting to the Lead of Settlements, you will act as a subject‑matter expert for daily operations and help resolve high‑risk issues.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily trade and cash settlements, confirming accurate execution within deadlines.
• Handle settlement‑related inquiries and act as the primary point of contact for internal teams.
• Monitor and troubleshoot settlement issues, escalating urgent matters as needed.
• Collaborate with the Settlements team on trade matching, counter‑party onboarding, and asset transitions.
• Drive process improvements and support the implementation of automation and AI tools.

Required profile

• 4+ years of progressive experience in back‑ or middle‑office roles at a large asset‑management or investment firm.
• Exposure to both trade settlement and payments/treasury operations.
• Strong understanding of global and emerging‑market trading and settlement cycles.
• Proven problem‑solving ability in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
• Effective communicator with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Payments expertise, including SWIFT messaging.
• Experience applying AI agents, automation, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency.
