Associate IT Support Specialist (Temporary) – Toronto

About the role
This temporary, full‑time position supports a fast‑growing SaaS client in downtown Toronto. The Associate IT Support Specialist will provide hands‑on assistance to both onsite and remote employees, primarily focusing on macOS environments while also supporting Windows devices.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality end‑user support for hardware, software, and general IT issues.
- Provide technical support for macOS and Windows, with a strong emphasis on Mac troubleshooting.
- Maintain office technology including printers, video‑conferencing systems, room‑scheduling tools, and wireless networks.
- Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding activities such as device provisioning, account setup, and access management.
- Manage laptop lifecycle processes: imaging, configuration, inventory tracking, shipping, receiving, and asset management.
- Administer cloud‑based business applications and collaboration platforms.
- Partner with workplace and security teams to ensure device compliance and smooth employee experiences.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, SOPs, and support runbooks.
- Assist with desk moves, office technology setups, and workplace technology projects.
Required profile
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or technical support (preferred).
- Graduates with an IT, Computer Science, or related diploma/degree.
- Experience supporting Mac devices in a professional environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications.
- Familiarity with cloud‑based productivity and identity platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Google Workspace, Slack, Okta, Zoom, Jira, etc.).
- Strong customer‑service mindset, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Comfortable lifting and moving IT equipment as required.

What we offer
- Hourly rate of $30‑$40 CAD based on experience.
