Associate Engineer I

About the role

TD is seeking an Associate Engineer I to develop and implement engineering solutions for technology projects in Toronto. The role involves creating prototypes, contributing to design efforts, and collaborating with internal partners to deliver innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new solutions, prototypes, and proof‑of‑concepts for engineering programs and projects.
• Participate in conceptual and logical engineering designs across the assigned portfolio.
• Analyze technical requirements and recommend pragmatic engineering solutions.
• Work with stakeholders and internal technology partners to ensure solutions meet performance, time‑to‑market, and innovation goals.
• Contribute to enterprise and line‑of‑business engineering strategies and mandates.
• Respond to routine requests from internal and external customers.
• Monitor product lifecycles, ensuring specifications support business objectives and undertaking re‑development when needed.
• Document and verify system components, applications, infrastructure, security, integration, operability, and architecture designs.
• Participate in quality management reviews of designs, prototypes, and requirement work products.
• Develop as‑built program activities using configuration management processes.
• Provide support for modifications, ensuring accuracy of drawings and technical baseline documents.
