About the role
The Royal Ontario Museum is seeking an Assistant Tourism & Membership Intern for Summer 2026. This full‑time, grant‑funded position offers hands‑on experience in tourism outreach, membership engagement, visitor services, and event coordination within a leading Canadian cultural institution.
Key responsibilities
- Support tourism outreach initiatives, including audience research and preparation of promotional materials.
- Assist with festivals, community events, and public‑facing promotional activations.
- Respond to general customer service and membership inquiries via email, phone, or in‑person.
- Help coordinate membership renewal campaigns, communications, and related events.
- Prepare marketing and communication content such as email drafts and promotional copy.
- Maintain administrative records, organize materials, and update spreadsheets or tracking documents.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed post‑secondary studies in Tourism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Interest in tourism, arts and culture, membership services, and visitor engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
