Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily retail operations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while driving sales performance. This role also acts as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent, maintaining smooth store functioning.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with overall store operations and staff supervision.
• Handle merchandising, stock replenishment, and unpack daily shipments.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.
• Manage cash handling, opening and closing procedures.
• Assign tasks, uphold store safety, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Participate in hiring and performance management processes.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
