Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily retail operations, ensuring high customer satisfaction and helping the store meet its sales targets. This role also acts as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent, maintaining smooth store performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with overall operations and staff supervision.
• Help with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management, store opening and closing duties.
• Assign tasks, ensure store safety, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and give feedback.
• Enforce company policies and safety standards.
• Participate in hiring and performance management.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
