Assistant Meat Department Head (Full-Time)

Be in the action and help make the difference when serving our customers. Become a brand ambassador and share your passion for food with our customers! Our Meat team is fundamental to Metro’s overall success, and the Meat department at 6740 Wyandotte St. E, Windsor is waiting for you.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, price, stock, rotate and merchandise meat products.
- Ensure the department is ready for business at all times.
- Implement and adhere to the Customer Service Policy.
- Follow company policies, health & safety, sanitation and security regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Support the Meat Manager in hiring, coaching, training and directing staff.
- Maintain department standards and support overall store operations, including opening and closing.
Required profile
- Meat experience with strong product knowledge, rotation and merchandising.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Ability to stand 4‑8 hours, bend, twist, turn, reach and lift up to 30 lb.
- Availability to work days, evenings, Saturdays and Sundays as per the collective bargaining agreement.
