About the role
The Assistant Manager will support daily operations of a busy convenience store in Burnaby. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help drive sales, ensure excellent customer service and maintain store standards.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and control daily store operations.
- Manage and assign duties to a team of 5‑10 staff members.
- Determine merchandise mix and service offerings.
- Assess staffing requirements and schedule shifts.
- Resolve customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
- Recruit, hire, supervise and conduct performance reviews for staff.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1–2 years of experience in retail or convenience‑store management.
- Proven ability to supervise a team of 5‑10 employees.
- Available to work early mornings, mornings, days and weekends.
- Must not be a current student.
