Assistant Manager – Retail

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to lead daily retail operations at our Burnaby location. You will support the store manager in driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The role offers the chance to develop leadership abilities while contributing to the growth of our brand.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and control daily store operations.
• Evaluate and plan daily activities to meet sales targets.
• Manage staff scheduling, assign duties, and supervise performance.
• Analyze market research and trends to determine product demand.
• Select merchandise and services to be offered.
• Plan budgets, monitor revenues and expenses.
• Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
• Recruit, hire, and train new staff or volunteers.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2–3 years of retail management experience.
• Participation in youth employment programs and ability to provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends.
• Commitment to creating a welcoming environment for youth.
