Assistant Manager, Basin Glacial Waters

About the role

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is hiring an Assistant Manager for Basin Glacial Waters, a brand-new wellness facility offering a luxurious guest experience. Reporting to the Wellness Operations Manager, the Assistant Manager interacts with guests while upholding standards and supporting the department's success. The position is permanent, starts in November 2026, and is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an inventory of supplies used in the facility, complete monthly inventory and ordering with the leadership team
• Provide administrative support to the Wellness Operations Manager, including daily scheduling and payroll
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and keep accurate reports such as CASD reporting
• Process and oversee customer special requests and work with the Basin leadership team on projects and events
• Train reception staff and help train current and future employees
• Keep public areas clean and luxurious, maintain locker rooms and clean lockers, and replenish amenities, toiletries and linens
• Help dispense robes, towels and sandals, clear lounge servers' tables, and direct guests to appointments and facilities such as the sauna and steam whirlpool
• Communicate with the Pool Operator and Wellness Operations Manager on preventative maintenance and follow Fairmont policies

Required profile

• Dedicated to high-level customer service and attention to detail
• Able to lift, carry and pull over 30+ lbs and stand and walk throughout a shift
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Proactive, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Previous leadership experience, spa, housekeeping or cleaning experience, and spa experience are assets
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
