Assembly Operator – Transformer Core Manufacturing

About the role

The Assembly Operator will build flat‑stacked transformer cores from steel laminations in a high‑precision manufacturing environment. You will work with detailed work instructions and drawings to ensure each core meets strict electrical and dimensional specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble small, medium and large flat‑stacked transformer cores using steel laminations.
• Stack, align and interleave steel sheets accurately, following orientation and sequence requirements.
• Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, rulers) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Install core supports, clamps and insulation materials as required.
• Operate core stacking tables, lifting devices, hoists or cranes to position heavy components safely.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections throughout the process.
• Identify and report non‑conformances to supervisors or quality department.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow 5S and safety protocols.
• Complete production documentation and checklists accurately.
