Arts (Dance) Teacher – Semester 1 LTO (1 Period)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Arts (Dance) teacher for Semester 1 on a Long‑Term Occasional (LTO) basis. The position covers one period (approximately 0.33 of a full teaching load) within the Simcoe County District School Board and offers a pro‑rated salary.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess dance curriculum for assigned classes.
• Manage classroom environment and ensure student safety.
• Report student progress to the principal and collaborate with other teachers.
• Participate in board‑mandated training and equity initiatives.
• Provide written responses to four interview questions as part of the selection process.

Required profile

• Hold the required teaching qualifications for Arts/Dance in Ontario.
• Willingness to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check and provide two professional references, including current and most recent supervisor.
• Commitment to the principles of dignity, inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility as outlined by the board.
• Ability to complete mandatory training modules before the first day of work.
