Architectural Technologist

About the role

Scott Associates Architects Inc. is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join its Toronto studio. The successful candidate will support design and construction teams by producing accurate drawings, models, and documentation while ensuring compliance with codes and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Create three‑dimensional (3‑D) models and two‑dimensional (2‑D) drawings using CAD software.
• Analyze technical documents, tender contracts, and construction reports.
• Assist in supervising construction projects and monitoring on‑site work.
• Prepare working drawings, presentation graphics, and architectural display models.
• Supervise technical staff, ensure compliance with specifications and building codes, and support design development.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate construction activities to meet tight deadlines.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in architectural design or construction documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized, punctual, and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
• Physical capability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking as required.
