Apprentice Parts Technician

About the role

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Apprentice Parts Technician supports sales of parts to external customers and Enerflex Field Service Technicians across all product lines. The role is based in Grande Prairie, Alberta and provides on‑the‑job training alongside experienced Journeymen.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage technical knowledge of gas compression, power generation and parts management to source parts for internal and external customers.
• Inspect, verify, receive and document daily purchase orders in SAP.
• Prepare and ship products and parts, arrange deliveries and hot‑shots to field sites.
• Maintain strong inventory control, warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with semi‑annual inventory counts, cycle counts and core returns.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or willing to enroll in an apprenticeship program and work alongside qualified Journeymen.
• Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to lift up to 75 lb.
• Energetic self‑starter able to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in on‑call rotation.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP (asset).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
