Applied AI Lead

About the role

Owner is building an Applied AI organization to drive high‑impact opportunities across the business. As the Applied AI Lead you will scout for AI‑driven problems, size their potential, and then build, ship, and iterate solutions until measurable impact is achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize AI opportunities across product, sales, marketing, and operations, creating a roadmap of high‑value projects.
• Own the end‑to‑end delivery of each initiative, from problem diagnosis through deployment, adoption, and impact measurement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (BizOps, RevOps, Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, Recruiting) to ensure solutions align with business goals.
• Present findings and results to senior leadership, maintaining visibility of AI impact on company KPIs.

Required profile

• Proven track record of uncovering high‑value problems in messy business environments and sizing the prize without a predefined roadmap.
• Strong root‑cause analysis instincts and ability to dive deep while knowing when to stop.
• Hands‑on experience building with large language models (LLMs) and integrating them via APIs.
• 3+ years in a 0‑to‑1 startup or operations role, thriving in ambiguity and fast‑paced environments.
• Excellent communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
