Application Developer – Distribution Reporting

About the role

The IT Application Developer will support and enhance distribution‑related reporting, change management, and documentation for Gildan’s global supply chain. Based in the Montreal corporate office, the role works closely with IT and business teams across head office and distribution centres.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve incidents related to distribution reporting.
• Deploy new developments from test to production using the Change Management tool.
• Maintain security and integrity of reporting software.
• Collaborate with business users to define and document technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and modify reports and, later, labels and shipping documentation.
• Follow Gildan’s SDLC methodology and documentation standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience as a programmer or technical support with a development focus.
• Experience working in a complex, global environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, preferably Manhattan Associates WMi.
• Familiarity with IBM AS400 platform and RPG programming.
• Experience with Cognos reporting tools (Supply Chain Intelligence).
• Experience with Change Management software (Turnover by Soft Landing).
