Analyst, Real Estate Development

About the role

The Analyst, Real Estate Development will support a wide range of development projects across multiple asset classes. You will create, interpret and implement financial models to evaluate investment, development and redevelopment opportunities, working closely with construction, finance, asset management and joint‑venture partners.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed financial models for single‑ and multi‑phase development projects, including multi‑family residential, retail, office and hospitality assets.
• Gather inputs and assumptions through market research, third‑party reports and collaboration with internal teams and JV partners.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform decision‑making and evaluate development options.
• Prepare presentations, memorandums and internal approval documents.
• Support monthly and quarterly reporting, cost‑to‑complete processes and variance analysis.
• Assist in valuation processes and review budgets, schedules and investment feasibility.
• Coordinate meetings, filing and liaison with development consultants.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience in real estate development, investment, asset management, brokerage, lending, accounting or valuations.
• General understanding of the real‑estate development lifecycle (planning, design, construction, finance, leasing/sales).
• Undergraduate degree with an emphasis on finance, real estate or urban planning.
• MBA, CFA, CPA or AACI considered an asset.
