Airline Dispatcher – Flight Operations

About the role

Join Flair Airlines' Dispatch team in Edmonton and play a critical part in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations. Working 24/7 alongside pilots, you will develop and monitor flight plans while managing real‑time operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise operational control jointly with the Pilot‑in‑Command for all assigned flights.
• Develop, review, authorize, issue, amend, and monitor Operational Flight Plans for scheduled, non‑scheduled, training, and test flights.
• Authorize aircraft releases in line with approved flight plans and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze weather, NOTAMs, aircraft performance, airspace restrictions, and airport conditions to support safe flight planning.
• Monitor flight progress, identify risks or disruptions, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Flight Operations, Airports, Maintenance, Crew Scheduling, Air Traffic Services, and other stakeholders to exchange critical information.
• Provide crews with accurate flight plans, weather briefings, and required documentation.

Required profile

• Qualified in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations.
• Strong situational awareness throughout the flight lifecycle.
• Ability to evaluate operational conditions and recommend safety‑focused solutions.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal and external partners.
