Agentic AI Platform Engineer

About the role

Paralucent is looking for an Agentic AI Platform Engineer to design, develop and deploy AI‑driven solutions for a major banking client. The role is hybrid in Toronto and involves turning architecture and business requirements into secure, scalable platform components that enable intelligent automation and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement agentic AI workflows, prototypes and production‑ready platform components.
• Build cloud‑native applications, services, APIs and integration connectors on AWS and/or Azure.
• Collaborate with architects, delivery managers and client stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security and operational standards.
• Implement AI, Generative AI and Large Language Model solutions, including prompt strategies, tool‑calling and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Integrate AI‑enabled capabilities with enterprise applications, databases and workflow platforms while maintaining compliance and auditability.
• Provide testing, guardrails, logging and human‑review mechanisms to guarantee accuracy and safe execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex AI and cloud platform solutions in regulated enterprise environments.
• Strong ability to translate delivery plans, architecture direction and business requirements into working code.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams and client stakeholders.
