Additive Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Exco Engineering is seeking a motivated Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join its additive business team in Newmarket, Ontario. Reporting directly to the Director of Additive Business, the engineer will design and engineer innovative additive solutions for the high‑pressure die‑casting industry.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer additive solutions tailored to the High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) industry.
• Prepare, improve, and maintain design and process documentation to ensure high quality and consistency.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for select customers, providing technical guidance and support on additive tooling solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized program.
• 3‑5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably with NX or other leading CAD packages.
• Self‑starter capable of working independently with strong initiative.
• Experience with CAD packages; aptitude to learn CAD/CAM/CAE.
• Experience in metal casting and/or metallurgy is an asset.
