Accountant – Finance & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Mississauga. The role focuses on financial reporting, cost analysis, and providing day‑to‑day accounting support to business units within a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and execute month‑end close activities.
• Maintain account and balance‑sheet reconciliations, ensuring assets and liabilities are fairly stated.
• Perform CAD and USD bank reconciliations and manage the fixed‑asset subledger.
• Prepare variance analysis for assigned cost centres and resolve discrepancies with department managers.
• Support the preparation of financial‑statement working papers, analysis, and commentary.
• Coordinate aspects of financial reporting, applying GAAP principles and budget assumptions.
• Liaise with assigned business units to deliver timely financial reporting and analysis.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting or related field.
• Strong multitasking and prioritisation abilities to meet tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
