Account Manager (Industrial Sales)

About the role

Preston Phipps Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to join its Fort McMurray team and support industrial, institutional and commercial markets in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. The role blends internal and external sales activities, requiring strong customer‑service focus and the ability to navigate a dynamic technical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, educating clients on the company’s steam, hot‑water and critical‑air solutions.
• Develop annual sales forecasts and action plans to meet growth targets.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing customers, providing technical support and recommending process improvements.
• Create proposals, quotes and sales documentation as needed.
• Travel frequently to meet clients, attend trade shows, exhibitions and industry conferences.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and product performance to suggest improvements or new offerings.

Required profile

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to work independently in a fast‑changing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, though not mandatory.
• Background in engineering, engineering technology or technical sales is highly valued.
• Proven ability to manage key accounts, pipelines and meet booking targets.
• Excellent problem‑solving and conflict‑management skills within matrix organisations.
