Academic Programs Manager

About the role

The Academic Programs Manager leads the strategic and operational delivery of research‑based graduate programs at the School of Population and Public Health. This role ensures the recruitment, admission, retention and overall academic success of students across the Master of Health Science, Master of Science in Population and Public Health and PhD programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate graduate programmes, overseeing the full program cycle.
• Design and implement strategies to attract high‑calibre applicants and enhance the student experience.
• Coordinate the School’s participation in the Vancouver Summer Program and manage undergraduate programming.
• Lead admissions processes, financial awards administration and education events across all programmes.
• Support curriculum changes, programme growth and contribute to the School’s strategic research direction.

Required profile

• Strategic and operational mindset with experience in academic programme management.
• Strong knowledge of graduate education processes and student support services.
• Excellent communication and advisory abilities for prospective and current students.
• Ability to work effectively in an evolving academic environment.
