About the role
We are seeking an experienced welder to join G & C Hughes Enterprises Limited in New Ross, NS. The position involves custom fabrication, auto and truck repair, and machinery maintenance in an outdoor, fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate manual, semi‑automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc‑air).
- Determine the weldability of various materials.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience.
- First Aid and WHMIS certificates.
- Ability to work outdoors in dusty, hot, noisy, and dirty conditions.
- Physically capable of handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
Required skills
- Manual welding.
- Semi‑automatic welding.
- Fully automated welding.
- Oxygen arc cutting (AOC).
- Material weldability assessment.
