VP, Strategy, Pricing & Interchange

About the role

Mastercard Canada is seeking a Vice‑President to lead its Strategy, Pricing and Interchange function. The role will shape the country’s pricing strategy, drive competitive positioning, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting business development and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine pricing and interchange strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory frameworks.
• Lead the creation of models and analytical frameworks to assess pricing impacts, financial simulations, and competitive economics.
• Conduct holistic assessments of interchange initiatives, including strategic, customer, financial, risk and feasibility analyses.
• Prepare recommendations, decision‑making materials, and executive briefings for senior management.
• Provide internal counsel on customer economics and support account teams with pricing insights.
• Drive economics reviews for new products, go‑to‑market strategies, repricing initiatives, and other strategic projects.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in pricing, interchange, or related financial strategy roles, preferably within payments or financial services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements affecting pricing and interchange.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
