VP of Manufacturing Operations – Plant Leadership

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing sustainable building solutions company, is seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing Operations to lead its Squamish, BC plant. The role will transform a high‑energy but unstructured environment into a disciplined, world‑class manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and oversee processes that boost plant efficiency, quality, safety and profitability.
• Benchmark performance against industry standards and drive high‑impact improvements.
• Inspire, mentor and develop engineering, sales support and product delivery teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Champion transformational change, securing buy‑in for new systems and procedures.
• Align daily operations with corporate vision, collaborating with senior leaders across functions.
• Lead operational planning, using data and KPIs to guide decisions.
• Establish and track metrics for production, quality, delivery and team performance, reporting progress regularly.
• Oversee logistics and procurement to ensure smooth operations while controlling costs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of operational leadership experience in manufacturing or a comparable industrial setting, preferably during high‑growth transformation.
• Proven experience working closely with engineers.
• Demonstrated success implementing operational KPIs, scalable systems and structured processes.
• Strong passion for people development and building empowered teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire.
