U.S. Tax Manager

About the role

Global Relay is seeking a U.S. Tax Manager to lead and oversee its United States tax function. Reporting to the Director of Global Tax, you will work closely with Finance, AR & Billing, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation and primary review of interim and year‑end corporate tax provisions for the United States across 13+ jurisdictions.
• Own the financial reporting impact of U.S. corporate taxes, including expense recognition and disclosures in the company’s financial statements.
• Manage compliance for U.S. corporate income taxes and required information reporting, coordinating with external consultants.
• Monitor tax thresholds, research nexus breaches, and coordinate registrations with internal teams and external advisors.
• Collaborate on transfer‑pricing documentation and policy implementation for foreign subsidiaries, including modelling and external consultant engagement.
• Handle tax‑related audit queries and provide comprehensive information to auditors.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate tax, indirect taxes (sales/use), gross receipts and franchise taxes.
• Experience leading tax compliance and reporting functions in a multi‑jurisdictional environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance, billing, payroll, and external advisors.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
