Underground Miner – Permanent – Jansen Mine, Saskatchewan

About the role

BHP is hiring permanent underground miners for the Jansen Mine in Leroy, Saskatchewan. The positions are part of the operations execution team and will support the development and production phases of one of the world’s largest potash projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate LHDs and auxiliary mobile equipment in underground environments.
• Install, operate, and maintain ventilation systems, ground support, conveyors, and other underground infrastructure.
• Transition to production roles, operating continuous miners, MF460 boring machines, and extendable belt systems as needed.
• Follow safe operating practices, identify and manage hazards, and comply with work procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a shift schedule of seven days on, seven days off.
• Willingness to relocate to the Jansen area and work onsite.
