UI Design Internship – Interactive Screen Interfaces

About the role

This paid summer internship is focused on creating interactive and moving UI design mockups for phones, tablets, and computers that appear in film and television productions. You will work under mentorship to translate strong visual design into production‑ready screen graphics that support storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Create UI mockups for phones, tablets, computers, websites, and apps that fit specific story contexts.
• Support design of believable screen graphics that enhance narrative flow.
• Learn and apply principles of readability, visual hierarchy, typography, and timing in a production environment.
• Prepare clear design files for review, revision, animation, and handoff.
• Receive mentorship on motion in After Effects and interaction design in ProtoPie.

Required profile

• Strong natural eye for believable interface design.
• Curious, coachable, and able to improve quickly from feedback.
• Passion for stunning visuals, typography, composition, and screen readability.
• Excitement for film and television storytelling through UI design.
• Ownership of portfolio and commitment to learning.

Required skills

• Adobe Illustrator or Figma
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe After Effects
• ProtoPie (bonus)

What we offer

• Pay $18–$25 per hour, 40 hours per week for 13 weeks.
• Potential contract position after the internship.
• Mentorship and training in motion design (After Effects) and interaction design (ProtoPie).
