Truck Driver – Full‑time Permanent Position

About the role

We are looking for a reliable truck driver to join our logistics team in Calgary on a full‑time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods while optimizing routes and minimizing environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and computer systems to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo, including dangerous goods, in compliance with regulations.
• Obtain required permits and documentation for domestic and international shipments.
• Operate straight‑ and articulated‑truck combinations, performing pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections.
• Monitor vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold‑storage equipment, and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel usage.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Valid AZ class licence or Class 1/A driver’s licence.
• Experience driving heavy‑vehicle trucks is an asset; on‑the‑job training is offered for youth.
• Willingness to work early‑morning, evening, or shift schedules.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GPS navigation and computer‑based routing tools.
• Ability to operate straight and articulated trucks safely.
• Basic preventive vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Accurate record‑keeping of cargo and trip data.
