Treasury Analyst Intern – Winter 2027

About the role

Join EQ Bank’s Treasury team as a Treasury Analyst Intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will support the execution of nominee broker deposit issuances, pricing, payments and key GIC life‑cycle events while gaining broader treasury operations experience.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily, weekly and monthly GIC operational activities, including origination monitoring, pricing dashboards and journal entries.
• Maintain resilient operations with effective controls and optimise/re‑engineer processes.
• Manage day‑to‑day cash and investment operations, collaborating with stakeholders to stay within risk limits.
• Provide backup support for other treasury processes and execute ad‑hoc initiatives and analyses.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Knowledge of banking products such as loans and deposits.
• Exposure to capital markets and valuation/pricing of fixed‑income securities.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to break down and re‑engineer processes and work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (including reconciliations).
• SQL or SAS for data manipulation.
• Bloomberg, CANNEX and/or Portfolio+ experience.
