Transportation Manager

About the role

The Transportation Manager will lead daily logistics operations for Lets Get Moving Calgary, ensuring efficient movement of goods while maintaining compliance with regulations. This full‑time, permanent position reports directly to senior management and plays a key role in optimizing transport performance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor daily transportation operations and department performance.
• Plan, organize, and schedule vehicle dispatch and goods movement.
• Prepare operational reports for senior management.
• Recruit, train, and supervise transport staff.
• Arrange shipping documentation, track shipments, and ensure traceability.
• Maintain compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement policies and standards for transportation and storage.
• Negotiate service contracts and preferential rates with carriers.
• Set transportation service rates and monitor revenue.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma).
• 1–2 years of experience in logistics or transportation.
• Accurate, client‑focused, organized, reliable, and a strong team player.
