Inventory Analyst

About the role

The Inventory Analyst supports the hospital’s supply chain by managing stock, processing purchase orders, and ensuring accurate inventory records. This position combines customer service, cost calculation, and quality control to keep essential medical materials available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service and information on available materials.
• Calculate order costs and obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers.
• Prepare, process and review purchase orders and requisition orders for accuracy.
• Set up and maintain the inventory control system, verify stock availability, and compile inventory reports.
• Conduct quality control, dispose of outdated stock, and maintain stock rotation.
• Monitor inventory levels, place stock on shelves, and reconcile physical inventories with computer counts.
• Unpack goods, verify receipts and packing slips, and arrange shipping, receiving and storage.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP certificate/diploma (1‑2 years) or equivalent experience.
• 3 to less than 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, physically demanding hospital environment.
• Strong client focus, excellent oral and written communication, and analytical mindset.
