Training Specialist – Franchise

About the role

The Training Specialist – Franchise will support stores across the Sports Experts franchise network by developing and delivering training programs that match each store’s operational reality. Reporting to the Manager, Training and Development – Franchise, you will play a key part in building skills and driving performance.

Key responsibilities

• Train store managers and employees on technology, operations, management and other core areas.
• Design and develop training activities, learning tools and curriculum.
• Maintain and regularly update training materials and documentation.
• Coach and support store managers in applying new skills.
• Assist with administrative tasks for the FGL Sports Academy.
• Participate in special corporate projects as needed.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in instructional design and training facilitation.
• Proven experience managing or coordinating training initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of the retail industry.
• Advanced technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office and store operating systems such as POS.
• Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) and comfort using AI tools like Copilot.
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work autonomously in a complex, evolving organization.
