Third Cook

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Third Cook to join our crew on the MV Saga, operating out of Squamish, BC. This rotational role offers 30 days on‑board followed by 14 days off, providing a dynamic environment for culinary professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the First Cook with buffet and Grab‑&‑Go preparation, pulling ingredients and organizing stations.
• Prepare vegetables, salads, garnishes, and raw meats for production.
• Package sandwiches and reheatable micro‑meals.
• Grill and fry dishes under supervision of senior cooks.
• Serve, replenish, and clean buffet lines during service and pack‑up periods.
• Monitor and restock dining area, café, and consumable supplies.
• Perform basic and deep cleaning of galley work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Assist with storekeeping tasks, including unpackaging and organizing provisions.
• Maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment and ensure readiness for the next task.
• Organize chillers and freezers and uphold high personal hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Culinary diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a high‑volume kitchen environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.

• Hourly wage ranging from $20.50 to $22.28 CAD.
