Temporary Works Field Coordinator

About the role

The Temporary Works Field Coordinator oversees all temporary works on construction sites, ensuring scaffolding, shoring, lifting and rigging activities are safe, compliant and aligned with project specifications. This position provides technical expertise, conducts field inspections and supports the safe execution of construction operations involving temporary structures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of scaffolding, shoring, platforms and access systems to verify compliance with engineering drawings, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor installation, modification and removal of temporary works, ensuring adherence to approved designs and safe work practices.
• Identify deficiencies or hazards and coordinate corrective actions with construction teams and subcontractors.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, permits and approvals for all temporary works.
• Assist in developing and implementing the project’s Lifting Procedure and ensure field teams follow established requirements.
• Review and approve lift plans, rigging plans and supporting documentation before execution.
• Perform field checks of lifting and rigging activities to verify compliance with approved plans and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Experience in construction site coordination, specifically with temporary works such as scaffolding, shoring, lifting and rigging.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, safety standards and relevant legislation.
• Ability to work closely with subcontractors, engineers and construction crews to resolve non‑conformances.
• Excellent documentation and record‑keeping skills.
