Temporary Part‑Time Personal Support Worker

About the role

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to join its interdisciplinary team on a temporary, part‑time basis. You will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care while upholding safety and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care including hygiene, grooming, dressing, nutrition, and adaptive aid use.
• Monitor and document patient height, weight, and vital information.
• Observe, assess, and report changes in patient behavior and condition.
• Escort patients to diagnostic tests and assist with special needs.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow infection‑control protocols.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.

Required profile

• Successful completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker diploma or certification.
• CPR (Heart Saver Level) and Standard First Aid certification.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a health‑care setting preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of medical asepsis and universal precautions.
