Temporary Part-Time Registered Nurse – ICU

About the role

Ross Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit is looking for a Temporary Part‑Time Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality care to cardiac, medical and surgical patients requiring close monitoring. The position runs from March 23 2026 to September 20 2027 and offers 12‑hour day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess critically ill patients using specialised ICU equipment.
• Operate mechanical ventilation and defibrillation devices as required.
• Administer IV and hemodynamic medications in accordance with protocols.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic electronic health record.

Required profile

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
• Critical Care Certificate or willingness to obtain within one year.
• Recent ICU experience with mechanical ventilation and defibrillation (within the last five years).
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of patient handling.
