About the role
The Telecommunications Technician will join Auralarm Ltd. to ensure reliable telephone and telecom services for customers. You will diagnose faults, install equipment, and perform testing in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose, locate, and repair telecommunications equipment faults.
- Install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and associated hardware.
- Test installed telephone systems and conduct service tests on customer lines.
- Complete and maintain test and service reports and dispatch repair personnel as needed.
Required profile
- 1‑2 years of experience in telephone installation and repair.
- College or CEGEP diploma (1‑2 year program) related to telecommunications.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail.
- Strong client focus and excellent oral and written communication.
Required skills
- Knowledge of telephone systems and switching networks.
- Experience with computerized testing systems for telecom equipment.
- Ability to install electromechanical, analog and digital trunking systems.
