Technician – Heavy‑Duty Truck Repair

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Technician to join our Woodstock, ON service centre. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining Volvo and other heavy‑duty trucks to keep commercial fleets running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance and scheduled services on heavy‑duty trucks.
• Diagnose engine, transmission, braking, electrical and electronic system issues using diagnostic tools and service software.
• Carry out repairs and component replacements in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Document all work performed and complete service paperwork accurately.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to service advisors and parts staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new truck technologies.

Required profile

• Trade certification or apprenticeship in truck/coach or diesel mechanics (or progress toward it).
• Experience in a dealership, fleet or heavy‑duty repair environment, preferably with Volvo trucks.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical bulletins and electronic schematics.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management and ability to handle multiple work orders.
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE and shop equipment.
• Willingness to engage in continuous training and professional development.
