Technical Lead - Developer & Delivery

About the role

Ontario Power Generation is seeking a hands‑on Technical Lead to drive S/4HANA development and delivery across the organization. You will partner with business, compliance and technical teams to ensure secure, scalable solutions while supporting audit‑ready processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead S/4HANA development workstreams, overseeing task planning, code quality and delivery timelines.
• Mentor internal and partner developers through code reviews, performance monitoring and accountability.
• Collaborate with solution architects, functional leads, integration and security teams to design secure, supportable solutions.
• Establish and enforce development standards, including branching strategies, documentation and release management.
• Design and build custom applications, extensions, workflows, APIs and services on SAP BTP following clean‑core principles.
• Lead integration design and implementation across S/4HANA, BTP and external systems, managing API governance and middleware flows.
• Drive DevOps excellence by implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, GitHub best practices and observability improvements.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA development teams.
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP, API design and integration patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and enforce coding standards.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional technical and business stakeholders.
