About the role
The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at McGill University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the Winter 2027 offering of MIMM 509 – Inflammatory Processes. The role spans the term from January 5 to April 30, 2027, with a total commitment of 45 hours and an hourly rate of $38.46 CAD.
Key responsibilities
- Attend and support the 15‑hour classroom sessions for MIMM 509.
- Assist with grading assignments and exams, accounting for approximately 25 hours of work.
- Meet regularly with the course coordinator to discuss course coordination and marking, estimated at 5 hours.
Required profile
- Hold a B.Sc. (preferably Honours or Graduate) from the Department of Microbiology & Immunology.
- Have successfully completed the MIMM 509 course during prior studies.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in Quebec at the Duff Medical Building.
- Commit to the term dates and total workload as specified.
