Tax Manager – Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

Mao & Ying LLP is seeking a full‑time Tax Manager to lead tax planning, compliance and preparation for a diverse client base in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. The role combines advisory work, detailed review of tax returns, and mentorship of junior staff while staying current with evolving tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee tax planning and compliance for small‑ to medium‑size businesses, corporations and individuals.
• Prepare, review and file tax returns, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Provide advisory services on complex tax issues and develop optimisation strategies.
• Negotiate and manage tax audits with authorities.
• Guide and train junior accountants, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and integrate updates into client solutions.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• Minimum 5 years of tax experience in public practice.
• Strong communication and client‑service abilities.
• Proven track record handling tax audits.
• Detail‑oriented, solutions‑driven mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
