Tax Manager

About the role

Join Baker Tilly as a Tax Manager and help drive meaningful outcomes for clients and the firm. You will work with a dynamic team of professionals committed to delivering high‑quality tax services and fostering a collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Review a wide range of personal and corporate tax engagements.
• Provide daily guidance and coaching to firm staff on tax matters.
• Research tax issues and prepare memoranda.
• Participate in special tax engagements and client tax planning services.
• Prepare and present technical sessions to staff.
• Deliver attentive client service and identify service opportunities.

Required profile

• Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE) and CPA Canada In‑Depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty.
• Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax issues and GAAP tax provisions.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, project management and organizational skills.
• Professional manner, strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with Caseware/Caseview.
• Proficiency in TaxPrep and tax research software.
