Tax Manager

About the role

Beacon Software is looking for a senior Tax Manager to lead the tax function across its portfolio of software businesses in Canada and the United States. This hybrid role combines compliance, provision, indirect tax and transaction tax responsibilities in a fast‑growing, acquisition‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own Canadian corporate income tax (T2) compliance and U.S. federal and state corporate tax filings for all entities.
• Maintain a portfolio‑wide compliance calendar and coordinate cross‑border tax matters.
• Manage sales tax, GST/HST and U.S. state/local indirect tax compliance, including nexus analysis and new state registrations.
• Prepare and review current and deferred tax provisions for consolidated financial reporting.
• Lead the tax workstream of the ASPE‑to‑IFRS conversion, including deferred tax under IAS 12.
• Support M&A transactions, reviewing purchase agreements and handling post‑close tax true‑ups.
• Direct relationships with external tax advisors and partner with corporate finance on tax data flows.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with self‑direction and strong leadership abilities.
• Experience managing tax compliance for multi‑entity, cross‑border groups.
• Proven track record in tax provision, indirect tax and M&A transaction tax.
